Durumji’s spirit focuses on the culinary cultural exchange and authenticity of the brand identity. After reviewing the initial branding, the stakeholders agreed to have a very traditional yet modern approach to the brand identity. Therefore, the design team began studying the elements of Turkish streets and integrating them in the design as identity elements, from the menu photos to the skewer shish menu, the traditional engraved metal and warn red colors that we can witness in every corner of the busy life of Turkish street food.

Several Layout plans were initially discussed with the owner, kitchen and operation expert to position the service bar with all their equipment properly. Introducing a seating bar on the glazing façade was needed for customers to wait for the order and takeaways.

The overall experience engages all senses from watching the burning fire of the authentic Lavash oven while it is being prepared to the smell of the freshly barbequed skewer shish on the charcoal grill and choice of garnish , to the tasteful traditional yogurt Ayran drink to accompany the explosion of taste.

The wood, brick and metal are essential materials reflecting their flair in the copper mirror and stainless steel equipment, adding depth and warmth to the place. The customer can indulge in this experience of preparation and become a regular of Durumji.
