concept
K Villas are designed for two siblings wishing to have their own private residences in the mountains of Kfour. The Architectural Design emphasis their character and personality while taking the Natural Integration of the villas. Open interior spaces, rough textures, real authentic and Brut material use were key aspects to the form and functions. A minimalist approach to the exterior allowed also the managing of private and public indoor and outdoor spaces without the addition of many architectural wall separations, rather, the concept of inside-out nature was emphasized through the detachment of the villas from the limiting back facade landfill of the basement floors. The villas give the illusion of falling into the valley and rotating downhill while still being attached to the back with the car and pedestrian bridges, allowing a flood of indirect natural light to the interior, private outdoor gardens and terraces extended from the inside that also include a fire pit, and waterfall. On every dimensional level, the 4 story villas, include mid-levels to divide functions and allow a more fluid interior open space division and circulation.
